Many girls face too many challenges during their middle school to high school years. Trying to fit in socially, economically, and even intellectually sometimes happens mostly during this phase. Changing their looks, cyber-bullying, and introductions to drugs are very high during this time in their life.
Suicides and thoughts of suicide are on the rise and parents might never notice until it is too late. Parents cannot cope with social media because everything has become so advanced. There is always a new app that gets the students attention so fast and they are so glued to their gadgets more than we can begin to understand that they have no time to have a proper or sound conversation with adults. Their identity is lost because of what they hear and see which sound more fitting to them and it give instant gratification.
Teaching them to walk in the truth of who Christ is, his love for them, who they are in him and believe in that truth, they will never be removed from that solid ground. Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Giving the tools to navigate through life prepares them to conquer the world even if they stumble of fall they know how to get back up boldly to carry on than settle for lies.
Money cannot buy peace or inner joy. It may buy pleasure for the moment that lasts for a moment. Not knowing their Identity in Christ leads to challenging years ahead filled with even more pain and regrets. We walk side by side with every teen using God's word to validate who they are in Christ. Psalm 139:14...I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
